FAQs

  • What is an Online Business Manager (OBM)?

An Online Business Manager focuses on the management of your business (projects, team members, operations, expenses) to ensure that all projects are getting completed in a timely and efficient manner. An Online Business Manager ensures that everyone is doing their job and that your team and clients are happy. An OBM is  responsible for the success and smooth functioning of the entire business.

  • How do I know if I need an OBM?

If you need support in your business that goes beyond social media posts and content creation, someone who truly wants to be involved in your business strategy and committed to your success, it may be time for you to hire an OBM.

When business owners experience rapid growth, it can be overwhelming to try and accomplish everything themselves. It can also be difficult to let go of aspects of your business and trust your brand in the hands of someone else. An OBM can be a trusted ally to help alleviate the pressure of doing it all and help execute your vision.

  • What specific tasks can an OBM help with?

OBMs bring with them unique and extensive skills from their past experiences. OBMs may specialize in certain areas that range from marketing, project management, web design/development,  client and team management, launch management, payment systems, and contractor organizing, and more.

  • How does payment work?

You will be billed monthly. Payment is due the first of every month and can be paid via Paypal, Venmo or Square. If payment is not received on time, work may be halted and late fees assessed.

  • What’s the difference between a Virtual Assistant (VA) and an OBM?

As a general idea, VAs are there to complete tasks. If you have a never ending list of ‘to-dos’ then a VA can help you check off those recurring tasks. They’ll be looking for plenty of direction so be sure to have Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and a process in place. If you need someone to manage a small team or project independently then an OBM can help in going from concept to execution. An OBM takes a project and owns it from concept to completion and provides higher level strategizing. This table provides a helpful comparison:
